Our nearest little town Garstang all decked out in poppies in honour of all our fallen heroes in all wars.
Three good things:
1. Lovely respectful remembrance services in all our local villages.
2. Lunch out at a new garden centre with family.
3. I went out he other night in odd boots, no one noticed!
We do this remembrance day at Anzac Day in April... thought they did have a ceremony here but it was not publicised at all! You can't help noticing these huge poppies!
@maggiemae It wax the exact day this year, sometimes the nearest Sunday to the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month but fell on the proper day this year. Rather confusing as it was also the Lord Mayor of Londons parade so mixed up with happy faces & sad faces, it was odd.
That's nice!! Laughed at the boots......I went to my sister's wedding in odd shoes.....bought new.......one black the other navy patent leather. No one noticed either and it was a couple of weeks before I wore them in sunshine and thought..............funny when I went back to the shop and they said they had a pair just the same!!! I ended up with two pairs!!
@sarah19@quietpurplehaze@brennieb Both same heel height, one was matt black with tassel on zip the other pair shiny black & no tassel! Only when I came to take them off did I notice!
Probably won't happen again 😊
