Another pub in Dublin.
This was a very small pub which we went into but came out quickly as they had no Carlsberg Lager which was the favoured tipple of the youngest member of our party.
This pub also sells hardware!
It seemed to be a favourite of this group of Japanese tourists.
I must thank you all for the amazing response to yesterday's pub photo, so many faves, I think it's the most I have ever had, you are all faves to me!
Three good things!
1. We are down to just three B&B guests for the rest of the week, a much more manageable number!
2. Volunteers.
3. All neighbours back from holidays so Harry's minding duties are over for the time being. He's looked after Bramble the cat, three hens, 14 sheep & two horses in the last three weeks.
@busylady no we sat in yesterday's pub, quiet & clean, just a rest & a cool down from walking round Dublin. We were only there for three hours en route home by ferry.
Such an unassuming pub's name !! It looks as Mary has opened up her house for business ( I mean PUB !! ) So Harry has been kept busy with the animals - a real Dr Doolittle !!
They - the Irish Pubs - do like to advertise traditional irish music! That youngest member must have been the dominant member to dissuade you from going in! It looks intriguing.
My son is persnickety about his ale these days, so I understand you moving on since Mary’s didn’t have the choice one. It seems Harry is the most popular fellow in your neighborhood!
Our favourite in Dublin was usually Gallagher's Boxtie House at Temple Bar. I do love eating a Boxtie! We went out to Johnny Fox's one night and that was great for music but not so spontaneous as you get at some.
@casablanca We didn't do Temple Bar this time, not a lot of time to spare but it sounds fantastic, a rare atmosphere! Will look out for that next time we are in Dublin though. Doing Belfast & Derry at Christmas, I have never been to Belfast City so looking forward to it.
Love the list of Harry's minding duties. What lovely neighbours you are and have!
