Killarney is famous for its many Jaunting cars.
It's a great way to get about & we took advantage of riding back to our hotel this way.
Our driver was called Jeremiah & the horse Max.
As is usual with Irish guys he had the gift of the gab & was very entertaining, he & I discussed winter feed for cattle, silage etc!
Jeremiah kindly took this photo but he was quite an interesting subject to look at having quite a beard!
Our happy little group having fun!
Three good things:
1. I spent two hours this afternoon on Catch up TV watching the excellent new drama called The Bodyguard. Well worth it too!
2. Jack sent across some brilliant photos from Japan. They put mine to shame!
3. Aldi cheese & garlic bread.
@sarah19 yes it's quite thrilling, read the reviews & as it's only just started thought it was worth catching up but unsurprisingly 2 hours is a fair amount of time in an afternoon, no ironing got done!
Looks like a lot of fun.. my Sisters took a ride in one last year and got talking to the driver and he had spent so.e time in NZ and was working in the onion gardens near here... small world..
Did you have to tip him...and his horse? Open air transport in summer temperatures must be good! Jaunty is an odd word - I would only remember it like, ' he wore his cap at a jaunty angle!
@maggiemae No tips it cost us €24 so wasn’t cheap but we had fun! Yes an odd name but it suits, I suppose the word came from going for a jaunt or fun journey which it was!
