I went into Preston today to meet up with two 365 friends. @willowdragon & @lyndamcg
The third time I have met Al but the first time of meeting Lynda.
It’s wonderful when you meet up with people & they are exactly as you imagine them!
We were very silly & larked about in the Harris Museum Viking exhibition trying costumes & helmets on...three grown women fooling about! 😂🤣
Thanks ladies for a lovely meet up today.
This is one of the more saner photos!
Three good things:
1. Like minded people who become friends.
2. I bought a dress for Alex’s wedding.
3. Knitted hats for prem babies. Red for the most vulnerable, yellow for better & green for doing very well. Traffic light hats.
@julzmaioro No julz, they have gone to York today for a couple of days. Just a spur of the moment buy as I thought I had an outfit but like this better for a hopefully hot summer day in NZ! Will wear the other day after perhaps...I do t usually but dresses but we have two weddings next year.
Great photo and sounds like a fun day. Such a lovely opportunity to catch up for real.
Lovely to have found a special dress for the wedding. It's the right season here for the summer wedding down under.
I keep looking but not seen just what I fancy yet!!
How absolutely wonderful ❤️😀 PS thank you for being a prem baby hat knitter. My son was 29 weeks at birth and just the size of my hand. We were so grateful for knitters like you because nothing fitted.
This is definitely one of the more sane ones!! lol
It's a nice one of the three of us.
It was lovely to catch up and to also finally get to meet Lynda as well!
@onewing b. Something to suggest then Babs! It was interesting to see the different sizes of the babies wearing the hats. Such tiny ones wearing red ones & the ones doing better & gaining weight in the green ones!
@casablanca Sadly not me Casablanca, it was a news item on TV tonight nut once I retire you never know, loved the idea! My DIL in NZ knits these hats but I don’t think they are colour coded! Your lovely boy has grown well & done you proud!
@happypat Ah, well done your DIL then! They were never colour coded in my boy's time in the NICU either.. Just very very small. There were some super ladies in the local church who knitted him little cardigans. They wouldn't even fit my old dolls! But he was kept warm and snug in beautiful acrylic clothes thanks to them. Eternally grateful. I don't think people who do it ever realise quite how important it is for those of us who needed their skills. Invaluable at a time of great stress and strain.
Love your #3 :-)

Glad you got your dress sorted.
We knit hats for premmie babies at our local craft group and give them to the John Hunter Hospital. Never thought of traffic light hats though.
