We had a toasted teacake & coffee in the upstairs cafe in our local Booths supermarket.
A sort of jigsaw of food!
Three good things!
1. I have been to the library & stocked up with books. I have been relying on my kindle since just before my trip to NZ. Time to get back to normal reading methods!
2. We treated ourselves to duck in a plum sauce from the butchers....it was delicious!
3. Our gorgeous youngest grandson Finn is six today! Happy birthday & a big hug...we miss you & thinking of you today as you open your presents!
I wonder how tall you have to be to reach the top shelves here! Imagine getting duck from a butcher! We would have to shoot our own! Once you start reading a real book, its difficult to go back to the kindle, I have found!
@maggiemae Now isn’t that strange maggie I find just the opposite....I love reading my kindle so much better than a proper book. Easier to hold specially in bed...I can take it anywhere in my bag & the top books there at your elbow! Only down side is the price...the rate I read it costs too much to use kindle all the time.
A stunning view of all the neatly packed shelves ! They look so neat but a real bind for a short person like me !! am for ever asking someone tall to reach goods from the top shelf for me !! You mentioned a jig-saw of food ! -I don't think I would like to try a jig-saw of this !
Eeee, my favourite supermarket! We don't have them in the south, so I love visiting the one in Keswick whenever we are in the Lakes. My other favourite is Merkur in Austria.
