New Years Eve

For forty years Harry & I went to the village hall in Whitechapel for our local area ‘do’ on NYE.
Three years ago the organisers decided to stop doing it, always the same volunteers & none of the young ones wanted to take over so now 20 of us go to to the Crofters NYE do instead.
A three course meal & dancing so it’s almost as good plus we have a long table with our name on it.....they make us very welcome. Very well attended this year although the singer was a bit out on his music at times! Too much modern stuff when all we want is the good old traditional stuff like Sweet Caroline etc!
New Years Eve is about memories!

A very Happy New Year to you all!

Three good things:
1. Community spirit lives on even if not in the right place!
2. We picked Jack up after his NYE party which happened to be just round the corner from us, very convenient for all.
3. Bacon sandwiches after midnight.
4. The B&Bers were home before us but didn’t want their breakfast until 10am!
