Jigsaw solving has not been something I have done for years but needs must.
I have it on the kitchen table & have a go at different times of the day....Harry has found an odd bit too!
I am quite enjoying it actually....it’s a challenge even though only a 500 piece one.
Don’t forget the hand clap at 8pm tonight!
Three good things:
1. Pancakes for tea.
2. Lots of chat on the phone!
3. The honey hand cream I received for Mother’s Day while in NZ has been so lovely for my well washed hands.
Love it....I have one on the dining room table but my laptop is at the other end and I have lots of time online for school while not down the road!! Next week on holiday so perhaps.....
One thing about this situation is that we have learnt to slow down and appreciate simple things in life. Time to chat on the phone or to neighbours (from afar) is refreshing.
Jigsaws are the best - the ones online are pathetic. 500 would be my max too! In the past if it is too difficult - like 1/2 of it blue sky - I lose my cool and sweep the whole lot on to the floor! Feels good!
@happypat 😄😄 we have the breakfast bar in the kitchen where we usually eat when just two of us. Dining room is lovely for special days and of course when visitors come. XX
We have one on the dining table right now 😉 our daughter gave my husband a 2000 piece jigsaw, exclusively made for him out of pictures I made when living in Kazakhstan
Once you have put the boundary pieces it gets much easier to fill. Looks like it's a lovely scene. I'm not sure the table cloth with all those spots is a good choice for your background, though.
I love a good jigsaw - usually at Christmas, but they could come out soon if the weather gets bad. I have got a jumper ready to knit too, but haven't yet found the time/motivation for it. I think the right moment will come though.
I never used to have time for jigsaws. In fact I gave a few unopened ones to the charity shop in preparation for our move. Now that the move is delayed and we are all stuck at home I'm rather regretting it. I can't even buy them back because the shops are all closed. Has your move been put on hold as well?
@dh Yes definitely Delena. Our sale fell through last summer then what with Brexit, General Election & now this dreadful disease we have no chance of selling in the near future. We are resigned to staying here fir a while I’m afraid. Thought it might have affected you badly too....could be worse you could be living in Italy! I had no jigsaws this one belongs to a neighbour.
@sangwann No that’s what I thought too...I wanted it handy so I could do a bit now & again but definitely would have been better on a plain background...too late now!
Yes I made a start....something I never thought I would be doing again!
