Our postman Tony & Harry having a chat this afternoon as he delivers our mail.
Harry was mowing the grass, he was glad to stop & talk to another person!
Three good things:
1. Gifts of cake & scones from our neighbours!
2. Baked by Alex who is 10 so a great lesson in life! Well done Alex!
3. Whatever else is happening the birds are busy building their nests...bird life goes on!
Yes it's good to have a chat with a familiar face even at the social distance .I had a phone chat with Pat this morning at the usual time she usually comes down to me for our Friday morning coffee and chat which is obviously now on hold ! I have the caking bug - today baked an Almond fruit cake - but must control this - not good even to the hardly existing waist-line ! ha !
Actually its good to have some post delivered! I haven't had any post for10 days! Nice catch here showing the lawn and the driveway -or it might be the Lane itself!
@maggiemae we only got one bill....the post has drastically reduced thank goodness! Only seem to get rubbish or bills! No nice letters or cards unless it’s your birthday! This is our drive as you turn in from the lane. You would have turned in here when you came to visit maggie.
Beautiful scene. Now we know what we are missing. At least we can video chat with relatives and friends from home. Otherwise the house would be more like a prison than home.
In another time it would be a lovely chat in a lovely place on a lovely day.. and yes it means so much more now! Yesterday I had an altercation with a couple of dachshunds which resulted in a few friendly exchanged words with their owner... which I cherished! :) Keep safe
