We’ve had a late walk through the village & then I’ve been on the phone....time just flies!
Three good things:
1. The village fish & chip shop was open with a queue all down the street social distancing.
2. Pizza place on the other side also social distancing.
3. I actually put the last piece in the jigsaw puzzle I have been doing for the last four weeks. Only 500 pieces but the only time I did it was when I was making the evening meal while watching Pointless & a G&T in my hand.
Pretty tree.. it amazes me that what people are missing the most duringg lockdown is Takeaways.. I miss contact with my friends and family.. other than on the phone...
Such lovely blossom and beautiful weather . Nice for your evening walk ! haven't been out today - got up ,had slept with the window open and has the sneezes and itchy eyes , so kept in from the slight breeze and sunshine ! Have shut my bedroom window early tonight !!
@julzmaioro. I thought the same, they must be desperate to stand in line one at a time for ages....we have nothing else to do so we could at least cook our own tea!
The blossom almost looks like berries it is so full and dark pink! Half the fun of a jig saw is actually doing it - when its finished there is no more to do!
Such a lovely image. I guess there’s two reasons to buy takeaways for now. - because you miss them and also to support small businesses as they come back to work.
Nice image - fish and chips mmmmmmmm! Weve been doing 500 piece jigsaws since lockdown, 3 done, so I decided to attempt a 1000 piece yesterday! May regret that decision as a lot of sky on the scene lol! It does feel such an accomplishment when you complete them though doesn't it - but then you've to break them up 🤔
We’re not huge fans of take away, a pizza a month maybe ...but now we make an effort, trying to support the local businesses, so we bought coupons at 4 restaurants, tried a few new take away options ( indonesian food ☺️)and ordered a Craft beer box, all beers made in Delft.
Beautiful blossom. We now have 3 take away options in our village. Having been cooking for weeks now with no respite, this week we have taken full advantage! We had Indian last Saturday, Fish & Chips mid week and last night we had a Chinese carry out. All lovely, but it'll be a while before we do it again!
@jamibann Well I would love the option of Indian & especially Chinese but pizza not so much, we like them but just like to put our own in the oven...they are half cold by the time we get them home. Fish & chips are delicious but we prefer to eat in the restaurant bit but that’s closed if course.....we might have a go next week. @lyndamcg
