Through the top bedroom window...

Being a nosy neighbour!
This is our old milking parlour where we used to milk 120 Jersey cows ten years ago.
Paul & Lisa have converted into a very modern house.
He’s a builder & has done it all himself practically. It’s very modern inside with hemp block walls & industrial stairs similar to the ones in railway stations.
Not everyone’s cup of tea but I like it!
We have been pondering what these three metal posts were for...last night we found out!
Lights!

Three good things:
1. I have been out for a coffee with my cinema friend Dot this afternoon. We sat in the village square & were so busy talking I forgot to take any photos!
2. A large slice of lemon cake, why I have no idea because I’m not that fond of cake...should have had a prawn sandwich...salad for tea tonight!
3. Jack is home from Japan after three years on the JET programme. He has learnt so much & made so many friends...I do hope he settles back in the UK with no problems.
You are forgiven Pat for not remembering to tae photos on your first meeting wit your friend - so much to catch up with I am sure ! Love your nosy view point - and being so honest about it - - not nosy Pat , but showing a neighbourly interest ! ha !

A great place to see what’s going on. You will love having Jack back in the country. It will be a huge change for him after all this time.

@brennieb @farmreporter @dide @lyndamcg @gijsje

Yes it’s good to see what’s going on....we all get on really well so they won’t mind us looking!
@dide Yes Diane, talked to Cathy tonight he’s glad to be home I think but has absolutely loved his time in Japan.

Those lights would shine in your window if you can see them. I expect Jack will get on fine by himself for 14 days. One of our girls is in isolation in Sydney going back to her Australian home and she is getting up to lots of mischief - taking funny videos of herself and the room, getting lots of goodies delivered etc.

Such a clean well kept place. Those homes that have all of the industrial accouterments are for the younger folks for sure!

Nice

Sounds like your neighbour has worked very hard. The lights will be quite festive when they sit out there on balmy summer evenings.

It will be so pretty with the lights! I just started a gluten free diet so lemon cake sounds good to me!

Looks like he has done a good job of the house.

Must be nice to have Jack home again and also able to catch up with Dot again. How is Charlie doing?

The building looks great. It seems to have done well. Is he a good neighbor?
July 25th, 2020
How interesting to read what has been done with the original building.

@thewatersphotos Excellent Gary, we are so lucky with all our neighbours, a real little community. We shall miss them all when we move.

@onewing Well he’s OK Babs & his scans are clear but my word it’s hard work for them all. Made a massive impact on their family life.

@maggiemae Ha ha good for her Maggie. No we can’t see these light unless I go up to the attic bedroom. We have a wall up between the houses.
