Our granddaughters husband...would that be our grandson in law I wonder...took part in the Sky Tower Firefighter stair challenge yesterday.
We were able to watch it on a live loop last night but couldn’t catch sight of Simon but Alex sent us some photos.
He is part of the Dunsandal volunteer team & the whole thing raised $1,358,262 for Leukaemia.
1,103 steps with 25kg of kit on their backs. Many of them including Simon wore the oxygen mask too.
Our grandson Will has taken part twice too but he was working at the airport this year.
Nina was happy to see her daddy afterwards.

Three good things:
1. A bargain pair of shoes from Clark’s! Rather funky orange lace ups....not a very thick sole but if they only last the summer they were a bargain at £10 & when I went to pay he said 20% off today...£8!
2. I actually persuaded Harry to buy some slip on navy Sketchers, light & easy to put on by himself without me having to lace them up while his hip is sore.
3. He’s had his blood test!
Well done.. Just read how our local lads did aswell.. One guy if 79 has done it most years since the start and in pretty impressive time and raised the most for an individual.. They are such a tough bunch..
A great challenge for the lads and a great money raiser ! Pat ,
Ooh I love a bargain Pat - especially when there is an extra % off when you go to pay ! Glad Harry has had his b.test - when will he get the results !
I love Clark’s Shoes. $8, that is terrific! This is a wonderful photo. Oh those tower climbs are just amazing. That sounds like so much money for leukemia, what a wonderful thing.
That is an accomplishment! I carried my 65 pound grandson piggyback up a 200 foot hill yesterday and am glad to be able to move today. That is a great deal for your Clark’s!
