The chair!

This is the chair I advertised on our local sales & wants page.
Four people want it but they all want to pay me cash through Upps, Colissimo & two through a firm called Happy-post Express delivery!
All money to be paid through my bank & then a delivery firm will pick up the chair!
Do they think I was born yesterday….they all want my bank details of course!
Scoundrels!

Three good things:
1. We are looking forward to a meal out tonight with friends at their house.
2. I’m loving my new book The Four Winds,
3. A long chat to number one son in NZ this morning. Lots of family news!

Here you only put the name of the person you are paying in the app, the person tells you their nickname on the sight if they are using one. All bank accounts number on both ends are protected. They don’t see your banking info and you don’t see theirs. Just names.

@maggiemae If I bought something on a place like EBay I would transfer payment first to the supplier but never ever give my personal bank account number maggie. I would if I bought something online from a reputable shop through their safe account. These people wanted to send cash so they said in an envelope & then send for the package as they called it. When I googled the Happy -Post Express site they said it had been taken over by scammers who were wanted for identity theft. I have no idea how it works but I’ve had two more since & I’m not risking it. 😳

@louannwarren Sounds similar to NZ Lou Ann…..I might be wrong & they are genuine buyers but my gut feeling tells me I’m right to be wary….I haven’t gone any further with the transactions so don’t know what the next step is…..I might try. & see what happens!!

@sangwann Oh yes pretty sure Dione…..I asked a few more questions if the last one….I couldn’t be sure if when they deliver the cash in an envelope that it’s not counterfeit…..I asked my more computer literate grandson & he thought it was dodgy too. I’m not that bothered if I don’t sell it….some family member will want it I could guess but free!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
