I was going to try doing the black & white challenge this month but I’ve failed at the first hurdle!
Couldn’t not show you our wardrobe man & the almost finished wardrobes.
The doors came at 8.30am this morning so at this moment he is packing up & all finished.
Very pleased with them & there is so much room….anything that won’t go in here will go out!! I must be minimalistic & organised so I can pick out what to wear at a glance!! 🤣
Three good things:
1. The tidiest workman ever…all cupboards cleaned our ready to hang clothes up!
2. A lovely unexpected visitor this morning! I love people just popping in.
3. I cleaned my oven this afternoon. It looked really clean to most eyes as it’s new but I could see a bit of build up on the racks & sides so decided to clean while it’s a little job. I’ve never been one for cleaning ovens as Agas sort of clean themselves by heat….I want to try & keep on top of the job this time!
Just what I want a good fitted wardrobe! I did get a quote when I moved in but couldn’t afford it! ( the one they advertise on TV) it’s good to have a place to put things! I need to get rid of the excess “stuff” I have!
How wonderful Pat - you will be very happy with this - Rod built us a fitted wardrobe some years ago 9 similar in size without the end shelves , but fitted shelves taking part of the centre section ! - The top sections are so handy too ( for things you do not have to reach for too often !
PS you could convert this to B/W for tomorrow !
@pamknowler It was surprisingly expensive but the first quote was lots more as he quoted to have backs & sides in too. As it’s new walls well insulated we opted just to have the frame only. Did bring the price down but still quite a sum.
@beryl The top sections are very high & even the top rail is high too….there is a lower rail & a higher rail. Very handy when you have a handyman….you must miss him lots!
@craftymeg It’s taken up surprisingly small space, quite narrow but luckily our bedroom is quite large specially designed for any wheelchair access in the future if necessary!
@julzmaioro We have both put some clothes in tonight but it will need refining….need some more coat hangers as I now have room to have stuff hung individually & not three shirts on one hanger!! 🤣
This looks great and I love the shelving. Well done on the oven cleaning! Ours has a self-clean function, but it doesn't clean the racks, so I try to keep on top of them.
@busylady I think our does something to help the cleaning. You put it in a certain programme & it softens the dirt I think but it’s not bad enough to use that, glad I tackled it today, it’s as new again now,
Nice photo of Dene! Your wardrobes look great too. I liked your Aga comment, as I sometimes feel bad that I don't clean mine more often, but you're right, they are kind of self clean with the fairly constant heat. :-) However, I should do the racks more often.
@boxplayer The first decent wardrobe I have ever had….the last one was a three section pine one but only two doors so the we could never reach the middle section without rummaging inside.
@happypat I know! I started with one of those cheap wood frames with a cloth over it which I had for years and years, graduating to poky ancient one person wardrobes for each of us and we've now even lost one of those, half my stuff is in plastic boxes!
