Tony our postman & David our painter taken last July outside our bungalow. Selfie taken by Tony.
Sadly David died yesterday from a very aggressive cancer.
Our paint job was the last one he did & I was pretty shocked when I saw him in his white overalls.
Always be grateful to him for putting himself out when he wasn’t at all well.
A massive charity worker & the life & soul of any party, he will be sadly missed.
He had big plans for his funeral when describing them last time he called.
It will be big!
Three good things:
1. Massive courage in difficult times.
2. I have organised the wardrobe.
3. I’m not keen on my wurly gig washing line, not a patch in our Australian Hills super hoist….bad mistake leaving it behind but the washing has dried on it today.
Pat, thank you - my brother-in-law's wife. We are very, very fond of her. They have been married for 25 years. I can hardly believe this is happening. He lost my sister to cancer 25 years after their wedding.
Thank you all, he will be sadly missed by many, only 56 too. Cancer is truly a terrible disease which touches so many.
