You couldn’t believe this reasonably tranquil scene is in the hub of many forms of transport.
You can see the train here traveling on the main west coast railway line from Euston station in London to Glasgow & on to Edinburgh.
Immediately behind the trees is the M6 motorway, the first ever motorway built in Britain.
In the foreground is the Lancaster Canal which is a thorough way for boats & as you can see ducks!
Behind me & criss crossing under the canal is the River Calder which eventually feeds into the River Wyre.
Then of course you have canal path which Connie & I were walking along.
Three good things:
1. We have had our water meter fitted at last!
2. It can be read by someone driving by!!
3. My favourite TV shows are on tonight! The Sewing Bee & Location, Location!
I love it when you get this! There was a spot on the city walls in Chester where the road, the canal, the railway and the footpaths all merged. I always enjoyed that juxtaposition.
@julzmaioro One noise drowned out the other Julz so in fact only when the train went by was it noisy…the trees masked the motorway somewhat. Lingerie week tonight!
Well done for getting all that together! Including the train! You could have put a toy boat on the canal and photographed it sailing gaily past you? Love the riverside flowers too! fav
@ladymagpie haha no Heather I waited long enough for the train!! The ideal spot would have been further along as you could see the cars on the motorway plus there was a boat further up….the train passed in the wrong place!
I love the sewing g bee as well.. and location location..
busiest of places. Love the different layers.
