I love these flower….my next purchase for the garden.
I’m trying to buy things in flower at different times & I saw these while walking back from the village last week….memo to self check out garden centre for this plant.
Three good things:
1. I e been to the village twice this afternoon. Felt like I should have a walk but perhaps stupidly climbed into a large white van with a Polish guy who was looking for a house. It was for my friend so he asked if I would show him…I did but perhaps was unwise but who would want to bother an old women like me….he was a lovely chap & grateful.
Met my daughter in the village & she brought me home….consequence no walking at all.
2. I’ve since walked back & purchased my Euros for Ireland.
3. The stray hen has found a home.
They are so beautiful at this time of the year - alas , mine are not doing too well this year with all the hot dry weather - less flowers and they are smaller and rather shrivelled this year ! Like @cutekitty I have white ones in the back garden and pink ones ( they are doing better ) in the front garden !
@happypat Reminds me of the time I was down at the river getting sunrise photos and two fishermen were putting their boat in and asked me if I would like to go and get some shots.. I did.. can't pass by a good photo opportunity.. I did kinda know one of the guys.. got some good shots.. and they returned me half an hour later ..
Living on the edge, Pat! But maybe your instincts were right. I bought 3 japanese anemones 2 pink and one white - quite expensive- think they were $30 each! I should be pruning them now but not being able to bend is a bit difficult!
