I suddenly decided to make some biscuits this morning so while the oven was on I decided I would make the most & make a few extras.
The biscuit tin is full so good when we get anyone popping In for a coffee!
A steak pie which we’ve eaten half of tonight, a small apple pie for visitors next week, it’s gone in the freezer plus some scones!
That’s my lot for a bit! 🤣🤣🤣
Three good things:
1. Using the oven sensibly!

3. I have just the last chapter to read of the book written by billionaire John Cauldwell founder of Phones4U.
So interesting, my word that man worked so hard & from a very humble background became so wealthy but does such good works with the money.
@beryl I dont bake much these days Beryl…neither Harry nor I eat much cake now unless if course it’s a Choux pastry eclair or similar! I do like some homemade biscuits in the tin though! Very satisfying but my tummy won’t like the pastry!
My, you have been busy. I have to admit I don't make biscuits or scones often these days because David would just eat them all in one go. I did make a date loaf a few weeks ago and it didn't last long, ha ha.
Now if only you were close enough to pop in for coffee and a biscuit!!!

I used to do this - to make the most of the oven heat but now, I just use it when I need to. Mostly for baking potatoes! Those biscuits do look good and nice pastry for those pies - not flaky!
I forgot for a second you live in the UK and was going to ask where the biscuits were. Fortunately, I have watched a few English cooking shows and remembered that you mean cookies.
I love cooking, just a bit at a time! Coincidentally I was thinking of looking out a biscuit recipe, something I haven't made for a time, usually it's cakes with me!
Everything looks so good, I know your home smelled so good too during your baking. Don’t you love a man who does good instead of showing off his wealth.
