Didsbury Library by happypat

Didsbury Library

This beautiful library is a Grade 2 listed building. Opened in 1915 & funded by Andrew Carnegie the Scottish American benefactor.
I thought it looked a very interesting design & looking pretty with the Christmas tree.
We had our meal in the Italian restaurant next door.
Beautiful Christmas scene.. lovely building..

@bkbinthecity Really! What a great guy! What would we do without libraries?

Beautiful. I think Carnegie was born in Dunfermline where we spent most of this week. We walked past some landmarks to him, with Allan's sister and BIL. There are so many establishment buildings credited to Carnegie up this way, libraries and community buildings. Good not to forget.
