Fritillaries

I have to guard these pretty flowers every Spring as Harry is not a flower person so wants to mow over them before they flower. The leaves look a bit like grass so he doesn’t think.
Looking good this year! Just a few of them here.

If Harry has bemoaned the state of the lawn once today he’s said it half a dozen times! Full of water & puddles! I said it’s a good job he’s not farming any more & then he would have grounds to grumble!
Love these

Well done for preventing Harry to mow them all up before they came to bloom !

Beautiful flowers. Glad you are able to save them from Harry's mower.

So beautiful! I need a few dry days so that I can mow our lawn which is a big muddy puddle at the moment!

You have to see these pretty little flowers from ground level. I wonder how long they would survive in a jar on the dresser!

I think these are some of the most underrated flowers. The petals are just beautiful. Look at those patterns! Wet here too. Again.

I love snakeshead flowers. My hubby once did an early mow over my wildflower area I had carefully cultivated. Bulbs murdered as they began sprouting so never flowered! I was mad and he was mortified! He has not done it since…… 🤣🤣
