Alex-Christmas visit... 14

Alex has been making her Butter Chicken Curry this lunchtime. I do like curry myself but never make it because Harry thinks he doesn't like it - never tasted but he doesn't like it!
Well he wasn't allowed to have one of his favourite scones if he didn't eat it... no first course, no pudding!
It was delicious and he did eat it but didn't rave about it, just getting him to taste it was a great achievement, he wouldn't have tried mine!

That has just made me giggle. Harry sounds like littlest who is going through a prolonged fussy stage. No first course, no pudding the rule here too! It's funny to see which puddings he will suddenly become hungry for when he sees Sammy get him. My hubby not a fan of curry either but I made one over Christmas with leftovers and it was yummmmmy!

@newbank all men are like big kids sometimes....must say Harry has become slightly more adventurous lately, he no longer says rice is for puddings! There will be a bit of competition with your boys perhaps......if one has it the other one wants it. Perhaps they will encourage each other in the food department!

@happypat Sammy was much the same but bit less extreme when he was 2, he now at 5 eats like I thought he might at 15. I hope he doesn't increase volume too much more or we may need a mortgage to feed him!! Benji....its mostly being 2 I think. When asked what he wanted for Christmas from Santa his answer with a big grin was "CAKE"

Good old Harry! A man who knows his own mind (or at least thinks he does anyway)

@jantan ha ha that's the secret...thinking they know their own mind but being quietly guided so they think it's their decision all the time!

Well done "woman at work" -- nice shot Tell Hary -its never too old to try new things (even if it is done with the bribe and promise of his fav. pud !!)

WEll done, Alex - reminds me of my dad who didn't like rabbit so my mum gave him something else but still made the gravy from the rabbit. She made the mistake, after he said how delicious was the gravy, of telling him what was in it and he would not then eat another mouthful!

Men are strange creatures....very contrary! Harry is very stuck in his ways....he would be exactly like your dad Hazel!
I told Alex not to let him see her put cream in it.....cream is for Apple pie!

Is he a bit of a Len Goodman? If you didn't see Room 101 this won't mean anything to you! But he's never had a curry he's a ham and eggs man.

@digitalrn I hope not Rick, he only ate it because Alex cooked it.....he does exactly what he wants!

I bet it smelt nice to while Alex was making it and Harry would be too polite to refuse it. Curry is quite different from the Thai hot type dish with peppers but is absolutely wonderful when one can make the curry powder from the right ingredients - turmeric, coriander, and cumin! I've got those come to think of it! Must make my own!

Nice shot, I love butter chicken and full marks to Harry for at least tasting it. Don't you just hate picky eaters. ha ha.

You are certainly having a lovely time with your Alex😍

Tell Harry not to be such an old stick-in-the-mud. Max wouldn't eat curry when I first met him but I soon got him trained. Now he loves it.
