Piñata by happypat

Piñata

Having fun in the garden with a piñata.
This is something new to me but Jo saw it in Tesco & thought it would be fun for the kids.
A multi coloured cardboard donkey which you fill with sweets, hang it up & you take turns to bash it with a stick. When it breaks all the sweets fall out.

Looks like a great day.

Family fun is always the best! I made a piñata once ... took me ages ... for Halloween! The boys & friends had terrific fun bashing it! :)

Quite right standing well back! I got one for a party once and had to make the kids form an orderly queue so nobody got smacked with the stick. I was glad of some strong boys in the end and it kept the kids entertained for ages which was a big bonus after two hours of them!!

A lovely idea - good that it was outside with flailing sticks.

The ones I've seen, the basher is always blindfolded? Not that I've ever seen them here! Beautiful part of the garden here!

A Mexican tradition I think (or maybe Spanish too). It hasn't caught on here so much, and even lolly-scrambles are frowned on now by the politically correct. You have a lovely garden for the occasion.
