Our girls' annual golf match took place yesterday at Banchory. The three of us first played together in Braemar many, many years ago, and have kept it up over the years. No-one has the exact count of the number of years, but it's in the order of 30 years!
This year, I thought I'd post a photo of the boys who now get to play with us, given that 5/6 of us are now retired. The girls always get to go out first though. It's our day. :-) Meet John, Bill and Mike.
It was a lovely afternoon for golf followed by dinner at Banchory Lodge.
Poor Lesley though - she had ingrown toenails dealt with surgically in February and she is still recovering from 'chemical burning' and infections. After weeks of antibiotics she is finally on the road to recovery, but could still only play 12 holes of golf yesterday.
We plan on being very rebellious this year and playing a second round together in October at Murcar, as Shirley is Captain there this year. :-)
Well bravo to Lesley for going 12 holes even when she did not feel up to par! Handsome fellows to accompany and the promise of more golf in the fall- well what more could a delightful group of lady duffers ask for? Nice group shot!
Glad to see you go first anyway! It’s good that you can stick together & then meet up later with the ‘lads’, the meal would be a joy well earned a fair. Your chaps scrub up well too! Good going Lesley! Better next time I’m sure!
