Braemar Castle - undressed

Braemar Castle has been shrouded in scaffolding for the past year or so as it has undergone a resurfacing of the exterior, funded by the National Lottery and Historic Environment Scotland.

The castle is on Invercauld Estate and was home to the Farquharson Clan. It has been leased and run by the local community since 2007.

I'm looking forward to revisiting when it opens again in August, and in the meantime am just enjoying the views as it looks so beautiful now.
