The sky outside might be dark and gray, but the light coming in the kitchen window found the flowers on the island. Who cares if this arrangement enjoyed its freshest display nearly a week ago? Even with some of its original flowers gone and the remaining flowers now fully open, a tad soft, and laced with a bit of brown, I still find it beautiful; and with a fresh cut on each stem and some cool, clean water, I hope to enjoy these blossoms for yet a few more days!
