Best on black if you have time and inclination. I had an idea and it didn't quite come out as I hoped but I spent WAY too much time on it and after spending 1 1/2 hrs on it, the program froze and lost everything so then I had to start over again! I learned a lot and I do like lots about it. I'm curious re your thoughts and suggestions.
Thanks for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs
While a composite, I had to check your tags to be sure. You took great advantage of their different positions and have created a storytelling image of the social hummingbird. A fantasy in a way, as they'd not be likely to hang out so positively, but I like the feel of it. Worthy of a wall hanging!
Picture perfect. I can only agree with Taffy! I love the one on the top left, swooping down on the blossoms. It looks like a magnificent painting, FAV!
Lol - Jane - I recognize some of these little fellows - but in a different circumstance! They are ,of course, your usual fabulous clarity and make a very beautiful composite. As you asked for feedback I thought I might just mention something that I have found annoying in some of mine. Please remember that I know nothing about humming birds!! The one on the top left looks fabulously natural - as do the two on the top right. The two on the bottom, in the different situations, look like they are not orientated quite perfectly for feeding on the blossoms. I sometimes find that a slight distortion to change their body shape just a little allows you to make them line up to what you want them to do. You do, of course, realize that once you start doing these they are incredibly addictive and just so much fun!!! This is a lovely overall image!! Cheers Rob
@robz it makes me so happy to get thoughtful critique. Thanks once again. But I don’t have a clue about how to do distortion. Can you give me tips or links to YouTube or some such?
@jgpittenger Gosh Jane - this is tricky because I use a very old editing program. I did a Google search on how to transform objects in Photoshop and this site came up. They seem to try to make it sound difficult - but I don't think it will be. I'd suggest you scroll done to the section where the images are and just read from there on - the section on "Transform SubMenu Commands" looks like the bit you really want. Hope it works because it lets you turn one bird into many by slightly changing his shape. Cheers Rob https://helpx.adobe.com/au/photoshop/using/transforming-objects.html
@robz I tried to add you to the approved viewers of private photos but can't seem to do it. Can you give me your email address and I'll send you what I did with this and distortion
