Primrose Macro b and w

We finally had some rain so I went out to catch the last flowers with droplets.Keeping experimenting with artificial light and black and white for my mentoring group.. Shot with on and off camera flashes.
Thanks much for your support, comments, suggestions, favs
Love your very black background

I like the composition here and the tone in the back flower. I think the front one lacks definition and wonder if the adjustment brush might bring out some texture there but not affect the rest of the image.

I love the contrast of the plant against the black. Are you using a black backdrop or are you doing this with your settings somehow?

@pamknowler taken in garden- no backdrop- with flashes and macro lens. There was a spot top right corner that I painted in a bit of black

Lovely against the black, and great droplets. I wonder if you could bring out more detail in the front flower with an adjustment brush?

@taffy @888rachel I replaced the original based on your suggestions. Please note my message to you on the black and white rose 'cause I'm confused

@jgpittenger I think the forefront flower has more definition now and the shot overall has a better balance to it. I love the droplets!

The black background works very well here Jane, though too woul'd like to see more definition in the front flower.
