An Infrared shot of Cathedral Rock. In between classes at the yoga festival, I took out my IR camera and snagged several shots. Even though it was the correct/traditional time of day (bright light - mid day) for infrared the resulting frames were not 'speaking' to me. When I processed the images in Photoshop I was disappointed. So, I shall work more with early morning IR shots in Seonda as that seems to be more of what I am looking to capture by using infrared.
I think you're being too hard on yourself... I like the way you've framed the rock and the subtle IR effect is more pleasing than some of the 'in your face' treatments that I've seen.
@vignouse Thank you very much, I appreciate your fav, but aren't we usually are own worst critics?
@ingajohansson Thank you very much, the Sedona area is known a bit for its new age flavor but spooky not so much, however I do agree with you.
@domenicododaro I am grateful, thank you kindly. I wonder if the dust in the air has an effect on IR? It has been very dry and there was a slight breeze. It might just have been my exposure too:):)
@jernst1779 Infrared is a most fascinating and frustrating thing but I am hooked. If you try it, start with an IR filter - youtube is a good place to get some info.
@gardenfolk Thank you, it does seem washed out a bit but shoot and learn is my motto.
@pickerandagrinner Thank you so much for the fav. Infrared is a great deal of fun since I converted my old Sony- filters were a bother and I never achieved any great results.
