Still in my backyard . . . haven't ventured out in days now. SOOC with slight crop on right.
One of my fondest times to be in Japan is during the fall season when the maples turn beautiful shades of orange and red. So now I have a tree in Chicago that reminds me of my homeland.
Gorgeous capture and focus of the leaves. Beautiful.
A couple of my closest friends have been travelling in Japan for over a month, and returning to Miami on the 5th... I'm so jealous. They are sending me daily menus of what they eat... and now you mention how beautiful the shades of orange and red are there at this time of the year...
Thank you all for your appreciation of this image, the Favs that took it to PP (thanks, @cazla for noticing the few minutes it was there!) and for enjoying fall views of my backyard. Sometimes, images like this leap into my camera, and when I put it on my computer I am amazed that all the settings worked so I don't have to do any photo processing afterwards. LOL. If only more turned out so real-life like this one, and not like the one on the previous day where I felt it looked a bit fake . . .
@anazad511 -- lucky friends you have in Japan! Fall colors and good food . . . I do love Japan. But soon, you, too, could have an opportunity. Because although @vankrey commented "Why go to Japan" -- we are soon going to be announcing a "photo trip to Japan" opportunity for 365ers!
ha, @night_nurse and I were just having a 'conversation' about this kind of picture where you're focusing on one thing, and the background is blurred, but still has a part in setting the mood of the picture.
This is such an amazing shot, so pure in that bright red color of the leaves against the wide expense of bokeh....just lovely!! Yes, I think it just wanted to be captured!
