We had spent so very long on the runway that the pilot kept "inching" towards the occupied gates, hoping something would open up. Seriously, how can Dallas get a scraping of snow and hold airline passengers hostage for over two hours? But because we were moving slowly, I was able to grab some unusual perspectives. I had just turned my camera off when I realized I had another opportunity to get a line image when a plane rolled into the scene! No pilot's lap involved here, but @Taffy often does gets to sit right next to the pilot when flying to Beaver Island.
Great shot but it sounds like a very frustrating flight. It's bad enough sitting on a delayed plane when you're waiting to take off - but to be so close to your destination and not able to leave sounds even worse.
