I didn't realize it was by a Japanese person until I looked it up on the website. Now it makes more sense to me :)
Fascinating piece. Would love to see it in person.

I can't tell you how happy I am you chose to post this! It's simply ethereal! The patience to create this eludes me...it's fabulous!

Beautiful - it looks like a colourful cobweb.

Beautiful shot and artwork. Was it intended to cast that shadow?

@mcsiegle @Weezilou @pamknowler @sangwann -- thank you for your comments! It was a beautifully ethereal piece in its presentation, floating above the wall, casting a shadow. I intentionally shot it at this angle to capture the shadow. The piece is quite large, but the larger view I shot didn't accentuate the three dimensionality of it enough. Perhaps @Taffy will post a better version to show off the scale of the whole piece.

What a stunning piece of art! I visited this museum last year and just loved
it! In fact I had posted several photos, including one with a room of silver wingtip shoes. Cool that they allow photos since many museums prohibit cameras.

Fantastic picture.

I like the macro focus here -- amazing as it would never occurred to me to go in close, and I love the soft feel in the details of the fabric and the way you used shadow here for pattern.

A very colourful cobweb, and how beautiful!

With both the coloured threads and the shadows this is fascinating to look at.
