To see the depth of the image, Taffy says it needs the black background.

As always, I need Taffy's editing eye. (And she thinks she's moving out some day?)
It DOES need to be seen on black. It's interesting to me that when you frame the entire image in black, the oval sculpture has a backlighting that is terrific. On white, for some reason, it doesn't come through. I like the symmetry in the shot and (on black) the lighting. Wonderful b&w! And yes, I do have to move out eventually!
