SOOOO cold. So cold that you don't see anyone on the bridge, on the streets, or walking along the River Walk. Except one person under the bridge. Who would be crazy enough to go out walking on a day like this? In the name of photography, it's @Taffy ! (Taken as I was returning to my warm car to head home . . . and Taffy was on her way out to meet @UKAndie! -- I have to admit that if I hadn't developed a bad cough in the past few days and if I had my real camera and my warm clothes I would have joined them.)
I only had my little camera with me so it's not great photo quality but I couldn't resist posting this image of Taffy.
OMG - I can't believe you were able to get this shot!! You must have taken it as soon as you left? I love it -- I do look crazy, but really, I was dressed for it so must defend myself. I went through all THREE hand warmer packets!
@taffy -- hee hee -- I wanted you to be surprised when you saw this so I didn't show it to you first. I did modify the writeup to say that I would have joined you if I could have. You're not all that crazy alone! (I was taking this photo when I thought I might have heard Pam's voice . . .)
@jyokota I am mad too and would have jumped at the chance of joining Taffy @taffy and Andie on that photo walk! What a fabulous sight the frozen river is! Just love it Junko! Huge fav for catching Taffy in your shot! Well done for surprising her!
I always hated those Chicago wind tunnels. Those sky scrappers create their own weather down below. I grew up in MKE and I thought MKE was cold, but it doesn't compare to dwtwn Chicago.
