What a fun weekend this has been! We came from such different backgrounds and places, all brought together because of 365.

Who's the master chef? Who doesn't know how to cook? Who's the olive grower and olive oil maker? Who's the sailor? Who's the fastest walker? Which one of us has lived in the most amazing range of places in the world? Which one of us travels with the most cameras? Which one of us raises goats? Which one of us has never printed a photo since going digital? Which one of us has never gone on a photowalk with anyone else before, and which one of us has met more than twenty 365ers? To find out, invite all of us to your next 365 photo buddy meetup!
@graemestevens -- I wish I could have met your daughter! I go to Italy every year in March/April so that's how I've gotten to meetup with Caterina and Dominico. Your name has come up in photowalks with each of them -- we'll see something and say, "Oh, so Graeme Stevens!" Maybe you will join us next year?
I think Domenico carries the most cameras. I see two here. It's sad to think someone has not printed a photo since going digital. You all look wonderful .
@lesip -- thanks for playing the game! LOU travels with the most cameras (or at least he had an entire box full that arrived at Domenico's office) and both Domenico and Lou carry two cameras around all the time, it seems. And yes, it's sad that I have never printed a single photo since going digital in 2003!
Okay, here goes. My two pennyworth of guesses!
Chef: Angelika?
Can't cook: Walrus?
Olive grower & Olive oil maker: Domenico?
Sailor: Walrus?
Fastest walker: Domenico?
Biggest range of places: Junko?
Most cameras: Walrus?
Raises goast: Domenico?
Never printed a photo post digital: Junko?
Never gone on a photo walk: Me! Angelika?
Met more than 20 365ers: Junko or Domenico?
Thank you ALL for your comments! It was such a fun meetup, and it lasted for days. And now, we are planning a reunion in Chicago this summer! Earlier, I spent a week with @caterina and family. My trip to Italy was for "work" but I surely made the most of the play time before and after work!
Now, since some of you have tried guessing my questions, and @casablanca has so diligently guessed all, here are the answers. (I know, I know, I said you'd have to invite us to your next photowalk to find out, but since you played along with the questions . . . )
Chef: Domenico -- he even has a cookbook for which he is the photographer (and I photographed his cooking in hopes of trying to remember how he makes the wonderful dishes he does)
Can't cook: that would be me. :(
Olive Grower and Olive Oil Maker: Angelika (among her MANY careers and talents)
Sailor: Walrus (maybe Domenico, too?)
Fastest Walker: ME! (although I have the shortest legs of any adult and I have to ride a children's bike!)
Biggest range of interesting places lived: Angelika (so many continents and photogenic places!)
Most cameras: Walrus (although Domenico walks around with two)
Raises goats: Domenico
Never printed a photo: Sigh, yes, me.
Never gone on a photowalk: Angelika (but we are going to make sure this isn't her only one)
(@casablanca -- we should change that so you won't have to say that any more!)
Met more than 20 365ers: Yes, me . . . and I'd like to meet more.
Thanks for playing along, thanks for visiting, and special thanks to @walrus@angelikavr@domenicododaro for the memorable days in Rome.
Junko! @jyokota this was a wonderful summary of your Italian/photographic vacation. We were so pleased to have you with us and hope this was just the beginning..…remain in good spirits.
I’m super late in reading your text! So fun... only I raise donkeys, not goats 😉
It’s been so heartwarming and so nice to share my city and my time and seeing photo-pal-ness change into true friendship.
I can’t wait to be in the USA this summer and yes @summerfield it would be great if you could join, too! Next year in Toronto, maybe...
@domenicododaro -- donkeys, right -- I know so little about animals that donkeys and goats are interchangeable in my mind! But absolutely true about the transformation into true friendship! So filled with anticipation for your trip to visit me!
@summerfield@domenicododaro -- we began our vacation planning right here on 365! Fun to look back and see the enthusiasm building already, months ahead. Looking forward to our next get-together!
@golftragic -- sorry to be so late to respond but PhotoCrazy's comment today brought me back here. I've always thought there were SO MANY 365ers on your side of the world you all were lucky to be in proximity! You never know, @taffy and I tend to show up in a huge range of places!
@photographycrazy -- so nice of you to have visited a photo from so long ago, and bring back such fond memories of a wonderful day together. Perhaps our paths will cross in real life some day? I hope so.
@jyokota@jyokota - and it ended all too soon. i can't believe it's been almost two months! and my next post, in a few hours, is something that i took away from that vacation. watch for it, my friends.
@jyokota No worries Junko, I gather you've had one or two rather big things to deal with lately. I hope the wedding went well for all concerned. It would be wonderful to see you and/or @taffy here, but as you'd well know it's a big country. I read the other day that you could fit the whole of Western Europe into the area of Queensland (23% of Oz) and have space left over. Extraordinary.
@golftragic -- it rained on the wedding day, but we took our photos outside anyway, as it was a "fancy picnic wedding." My hair was flat to my head from the rain, but my daughter's hair was in an up-do with tons of hairspray so it stayed put and she looked beautiful. And that's what mattered. She was happy, and she got married!
As for Australia being a big country, I have been to Melbourne, Perth, Fremantle, Margaret River, Denmark, Kakadu, and the Great Barrier Reef on one month-long trip. And then to Sydney and Tasmania on another. And back to Fremantle on my third trip. But there's still so much to see!
@jyokota So long as the bride and groom enjoyed their big day I guess that's all that matters. Sounds like all went very well. As for your trips to Oz, Holey Moley, you've certainly seen a lot of the country, including bits I haven't yet seen. Like too many of us, I've tended to do most of my travelling overseas, many places are so much cheaper than anything interesting here. As you'd probably know our wage structure makes accommodation etc very expensive here. Ridiculously expensive in fact!
@golftragic -- they DID enjoy their day! As for accommodations, I am lucky to have had friends to stay with (close friend in Fremantle arranged the month-long trip), or been invited (or been the accompanying spouse) on speaking engagements. Come to Chicago for free accommodations!

Probably all incorrect! But fun to try.
