In the parking lot of the Capitol, I saw so many of these classic cars lined up to be hired as taxis, and some being repaired right in the parking lot itself. (The flashlight slung over his shoulder caused a flare.)
Cuba is fascinating to photograph, and is probably the only place on the planet where huge American cars manufactured in the 50s of the 20th century still circulate.
Excellent series of images.

Thank you all for your kind comments and interest in my Cuba photography! It was a fascinating trip, full of surprises and intrigue. It's a country of such complexity it will be a challenge for me to see how to best present the images. The classic cars were such fun to see, and they are lovingly maintained anywhere and everywhere. I heard that for some makes and models, there are none left on the island because apparently someone bought and shipped them out of the country to sell outside of Cuba :( I suppose there are always entrepreneurs out there looking to make money.
