Bologna Ragazzi Book Jury Work by jyokota

Bologna Ragazzi Book Jury Work

Books are submitted from around the world for this annual competition of book illustration and design. This year, The Bologna Ragazzi Awards had 2,349 titles submitted by 644 publishers from 59 international book publishing markets. It's quite a daunting task but one of the most professionally engaging things to do -- you discuss with fellow jury members from around the world as you articulate, listen, and come to consensus. This year, the special category was photography and that's the jury on which I was invited to serve. This is the Auditorium Enzo Biagi in the Sala Borsa library.

@helenhall -- I've been a teacher, librarian, professor in my career, and yes I have been on many many many juries to select best books as my field is specifically children's literature. Thanks for asking!
