The Woman With the Crocheted Fish by jyokota

The Woman With the Crocheted Fish

A public art unveiling, complete with video camera, audio interview, still photography, etc. Meanwhile, there's Michael Elliott on the right in the foreground, thinking, "Sunset is in 12 minutes! How am I going to get to my hole in the fence when her fishtail is right next to it ???" It looks like he was eyeing that Emergency Call Box behind her to see if he needed to call for help.

Then, they stepped aside and invited the photographers all clustering around to take photos (it was sunset, after all, and the Brooklyn Bridge and the city of Manhattan was waiting for us). Of course, they meant, of the fish. But as soon as we got the green light, Taffy headed straight to the hole in the fence, stuck her camera through it, and started snapping away. And Michael was relived that the crocheting didn't cover up his photo-hole!

For Taffy's photo of what could be seen through that hole: http://365project.org/taffy/the-also-ran-ph/2015-10-13

This is great, to show the context of the location. I can just see the "hurry up and get the heck out of my way" vibe, even from Michael's back. :) So fun.

Can't imagine they would leave that there and expect it would last long.

Just love the narrative Junko, glad you got your shots though. Michael's right about the 'art'.
