bedraggled

Big storm last night and it rained most of the night. At 6am Clinger was curled up in a melaleuca quinquenervia - never seen any koala in this type of tree on the property. I have a dozen or so of them. These are a secondary tree for the koala and medicinal - if they get loose bowels they will eat from this tree and it clears them up. It doesn't look like he's been eating it, but he must have decided it looked a good shelter option!

He certainly looks very bedraggled. He must have thought the leave would give him some shelter.

Oh, My, he is a "part" of that tree, some storm to sit through in a tree!!!!

I expect his thick coat kept him warm inside. In the extreme heat our koalas shelter in our huge pitosporum tree where it is very shady.

It's amazing how they just sit through all the rain :)
