Santa Elena Canyon at Sunrise

I have to admit... I was drawn to the beauty of Santa Elena Canyon and was able to visit three different times during my week at Big Bend National Park. The Rio Grande river is so calm here in this early morning shot and the waters nicely reflect the day's first light.

@marlboromaam it would have been great to have you share this experience with us... it was a very small group - 6 photographers and two instructors. We knew two of the class participants from the Grand Tetons workshop and met two new people... it was such fun but very tiring and quite a bit of walking. This was a short workshop... two full days with an afternoon/evening of shooting the first day and then an image review on the final morning.
