Grand Canyon Trip Day 11: February 20. I hiked the Bright Angel Trail just past 2 mile corner and was on the trail by 8:20 am. The first mile was pretty icy but I felt confident with wearing the micro spikes on my boots. I went a little slower today and was more tired out at the end… I think tomorrow I will rest up & do some laundry.
There is a weather advisory for tomorrow predicting wind speeds of 20-30 MPH with gusts up to 50MPH and also a 40% chance of rain. On Tuesday & Wednesday very cold temp & snow are forecast. I may just have a few rest days!
Just *love* this photo! Fav! From the sounds of the weather forecast, I would say that a few rest days are in order. Take it easy and have a great time! Looking forward to seeing more of your photos of the Canyon.
