Grand Canyon Trip Day 13: February 22. This morning we took care of business… laundry, groceries, refilling the propane tank (furnace is running nonstop!) and topping off our water tank… that is some cold business with the heavy winds and cold temps.
After lunch we took a ride to the East Rim Desert View. I had to pull over and hop out of the truck at an early overlook because the snowstorm going on over the canyon was nothing short of incredible. Desert View also had snowstorms going on and was very beautiful.
On our return trip we stopped at Moran Point and Grandview overlooks. At Grandview the wind was blowing the snow everywhere… including the inside of the truck when the doors were opened. We have not seen any snow accumulation at the campground or on the roads during our return trip. When we wake up tomorrow we may have snow on the ground… time will tell. I know there will be one, very happy dog tomorrow if there is snow on the ground.
