How many of you have had a yoyo as a toy? I had several different ones as a youth and the only trick I remember being about to do is making it sleep. Trinket, treasure or trash? I'd say trinket and a treasure since it was given to me by a family member.
I use to buy them for the kids in my class to play with -I never could do much with them, but some of the kids got pretty good. Now, just give me a package of jacks and I could beat them!

@milaniet I never learned to play Jacks but we used to shoot marbles a lot as kids.
