Checking the Coast Is Clear

I was walking around Lerwick's Esplanade looking for Black Guillemots in winter (success) and summer plumage (seen but not photographed) when I spotted an otter. After following a trail of bubbles he appeared directly in front of me and took fright and dived away. No sign of for around 10 minutes until I spotted him nipping up steps in the harbour wall. Sadly when he came back out he was a bit quick for me so not a well focused photo but you can't have everything.
Wow so lucky to catch this!

I always say you get the picture you can and hope for a better one with the next, whether that is the same time or another.
