Just hanging out

The top of the neighbor's fence is a lovely place to wait for a passing fly. This fellow's tail had begun changing to the fence color, they are amazing chameleons!
I'm going to add the half and half tag to this due to Nicole's encouragement!
Great capture - you should tag it for the half and half challenge

TOTALLY Half and Half! I so envy you your Texas anoles! They're just beautiful! I had no idea they'd change color like that, but what a stunning example! (How do they know?!!!)

@nicolecampbell @maggiemae @snowy @farmreporter @bkbinthecity @Weezilou @happysnaps @claudiet @gijsje @gigiflower Thank you all, so much, for your comments and faves! I read up on how lizards change colors, they have layers of iridescent cells that reflect light in such a way as to absorb the surrounding color. (That is not the scientific explanation, but it gives you some idea of how they do it.) What I loved about this guy was the fact he let me get close enough to get a decent shot!
