The Rathskeller Flamingo by louannwarren

The Rathskeller Flamingo

Germans founded Fredericksburg in the early 1800's, the old memorial hospital is now a fun restaurant. Built in 1868, Rathskeller has little vignettes in the restaurant windows. The flamingos have been there the longest, I always snap a photo of them! So this is my halfandhalf and Flamingo Friday, all in one!
You're too much fun! High Five, Missy, for playing along! I was missing the game and pushed yesterday's posting over the edge ; ) I'm really hating the time constraints as all I want to do is to make art!!!

A really fun half and half shot. I love flamingos they always remind me of our time living in Cyprus. flamingos used to migrate there for the summer.

I love the colours in this wall, especially in the wall. A great half and half image.

@littleconnie There was so much glare on the window, I was glad to get even this shot. That window frame was super old and picked up the flamingo's pink color!

@Weezilou Hi! So good to hear from you! The Germans settled this part of Texas in the early 1800's, German influence in every part of life here. A wonderful place to visit!
