For many years Beanie Babies were all the rage, collectors would go to great lengths to complete just one type of animal for their collections. Ridiculous amounts of money were paid! Then Beanie Babies’ Popularity waned. In the last few years their manufacturer, the Ty toy company, has taken the toy market by storm with their line of “Tiny Beanie Babies”. This display is in my local Hallmark store, and honestly, they are adorable little toys! Smile. This for “compositional elements” in the Flash of Red 2018 challenge. These cuties compose quite a frame full of fun.
Nice find. Hallmark stores always have the most interesting things. Unfortunately, the Hallmark store in Granbury closed a couple of years ago. This looks very interesting in black and white.
Beanie Babies not something I know much about, would appear my daughter collected them when she was younger, makes an interesting monochrome subject well spotted Lou Ann:)
Yes, I think the color was the stronger of the two although this shot does have its own strength. The black and white seems to bring out their faces a bit more- especially the eyes as they contrast with the "fur".
@bruni@onewing@mittens@dide@henrir@pcoulson@olivetreeann@gaylewood@happysnaps Thank you for looking at the two photos and making your comparisons, I really appreciate your thoughts on this. I think the photo is just too busy to look good in black and white. There’s so much going on in this photo. @gaylewood What the Ty toy company did was introduce the “tiny” line of Beanie Babies a few years ago, and the collecting craze began anew. They have never reached the level of collecting that the original ones did, though.
I came to this second and I see you've mentioned all the same things I mentioned...though you seem to think they're cuter than I do... Still, if the grandkids asked for one...
