Sunset over a smoke covered lagoon

in Plettenberg Bay. As there are still six major fires burning in the mountains and we e still have some smoke. Fortunately it is supposed to rain today and tomorrow, so hopefully the air will clear.

Pretty shot but also sad. It has been looking this way at my home lately too! Several fires in California again...devastating!

@gardenfolk I just saw the disastrous scene on tv last night. It must be the worst ever. Such an devastating and sad situation for all mankind and animals :-(

@ludwigsdiana Yes, I agree Diana. I feel for everyone and all the animals. In 24 hours, one fire burned 70,000 acres and 2,000 structures. 5 people were killed trying to evacuate on a road with only one way out...tragic.
