As of today we are in lockdown stage 4 again, with the new Delta variant bring us the third wave. All restaurants have to close again and there will be no wine or alcohol sales. What a disaster for all.
Beautiful building. Lockdowns are so very frustrating, I feel for you. We found our Winter one this year particularly difficult and we are still not fully out of it yet. Hope your Third Wave is over promptly.
I just can’t believe this. The Delta symptoms are head ache and runny nose. Not deadly. I’m so sorry. I hope your country survives all of the extreme control measures being forced on your businesses and population.
It's really terrible the way our governments are manipulating the people. It's even worse here when we find out that the very officials who restrict our movements deliberately ignore them. I hope the lock down is lifted soon. I guess it was a good thing that Katja was able to travel before this happened.

Oh no ...... is the population there mostly vaccinated ? Hoping that doesn't happen here . The USA is close to 70% vaccinated but that new strain is worrisome.

There has been much attention paid here lately to the rise of alcoholism here in the U.S. during the pandemic lockdowns.

They do not vaccinate on weekends as they cannot afford to pay overtime :-( @mbrutus It is good that alcohol has been banned Brutus, there are too many fights and murders under the influence here. The hospital beds are taken by these drunks instead of covid patients :-(
You mentioned not too long ago that you have several friends that have had or do have Covid. I am hoping they are all OK and that you stay healthy as well!
we are coming off our third lockdown tomorrow, and the government and medical authorities are monitoring this delta variant. the problem is that if people only practice social distancing and wearing masks where it is mandated, it can all be controlled. the problem are the people who believe that this is all a joke or that they would not be affected by it, or that it is a way for the government to control us. this weekend is our long weekend and for sure after a week or two there will be a spike in cases. hopefully, the vaccine would help, but we also have people who are vaccine dissenters. i hope you stay well and healthy, diana. wear a mask when dealing with people outside of your home bubble and practice safe distancing. it's all we could do. have you had your vaccine yet?
Greater Sydney is in lockdown again too and even though we live 200 km north we still have to wear masks etc when out
