to see how close I am coming. Springbuck are very inquisitive. If you keep your distance they are fine. If not the just stare to see what your next move will be. If you come too close for comfort, they dash away at an enormous pace. It is almost like a game.
What a nice and sweet looking animal, I like that you have treated it almost like a human portrait. Just as you say, she is watching you intensely and probably also listening (I am impressed by the size of her ears).
