Today was such a gorgeous day we decided to visit friends in another valley where we used to live. The bridge over the river was being rebuilt so the detour took us through a gravel pit for a kilometer or so then over this bridge. This is quite scenic but if there is a lot of rain, the river gets flooded quite easily and covers this bridge. In that case, another detour is available through the Herbert Forest at the back which is a winding up hill road then back down another gravel road to the main road. That's another 10 km!
@nikkic No, he was on a bike! It's actually amazing John went over the bridge! Normally he can't resist going through the water - and often getting stuck!
