These long stems come out of the varied foliage about now and the purple buds burst into the lower pretty flowers seen at the bottom. I may be wrong - someone will probably tell me. I am so forgetful with flower and plant names.

This is gorgeous. So different from the yuccas we have around here. I read that there are over a hundred various species of yucca plants. I loce the purple flowers on yours.
